David Michael “Dave” Jenkins is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist, best known as the lead singer and guitarist for the California smooth rock band Pablo Cruise. Jenkins was a member of the band at its conception in 1973, and stayed until they disbanded in 1985. In 1987, Jenkins, two members of the Doobie Brothers, and the bassist from Creedence Clearwater Revival played in the hit country band, Southern Pacific, recording two #1 hits and a #5 on the Zuma LP.
Jaime Kyle, song-writer and musical sensation, became an overnight sensation when she found out Heart wanted to cover one of her tunes. The pop ballad “Stranded” – featured on Heart’s 1990, multi-platinum Brigade – went on to reach number 13 on Billboard’s Hot 100. Kyle has also left her songwriting fingerprints on albums by everyone from Faith Hill to Air Supply to Patty Loveless. These days, Kyle’s focus is on her forthcoming fifth album, which she’s co-producing with her husband/Pablo Cruise guitarist Dave Jenkins, who will be joining her Sunday at the Fenix.
Walter Egan is an American rock musician, best known for his 1978 gold status hit single “Magnet and Steel” from his second album release, Not Shy, produced by Lindsey Buckingham and Richard Dashut. The song reached #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #18 on the Easy Listening chart. Walter also scored big with Hot Summer Nights, Only the Lucky and Hearts on Fire.
Steve Price has been the drummer and percussionist for the California smooth rock band Pablo Cruise from the beginning. Steve has also recorded with Huey Lewis, Boz Scaggs, Grace Slick, Survivor, Graham Nash, Tina Marie and a host of other artists that came through the Record Plant in the real good old days.
Clarence Stephens has performed as jazz bassist for many greats in the jazz world, like Bobby McFerrin, Cecil Taylor, Tony Williams, Eddie Henderson, Dave Garibaldi, Ernie Watts, and Rashid Ali.
