Daniel Castro is the latest and one of the greatest blues guitarists to come bursting out of the highly competitive West Coast scene. To the classic music of B.B. King, Albert King, and Albert Collins he has added the three T’s taste, tone, and technique. His raw passion warms your soul while his deep groove kicks your butt on fine, fresh originals and well chosen covers. As he grew up in the L.A. area, Daniel was heavily influenced by the blues greats Albert KIng, B.B. King, and Albert Collins. As a kid, Daniel would hang outside clubs like the Golden Bear in Huntington Beach to hear these blues legends perform and wait for a glimpse of them through the curtains. After cutting his teeth in South Central L.A. blues clubs with “Mighty Mouth” Delmar Evans, who worked with the Johnny Otis Show, Castro backed other great artists from Otis’ band, including Pee Wee Crayton and Little Esther Phillips. He also recorded and toured with many other artists including legendary Small Faces singer-bassist Ronnie Lane. Moving to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1995, Daniel formed The Daniel Castro Band and quickly became a hot draw in the burgeoning local blues scene. In 1999, Daniel recorded his first release, No Surrender, followed in 2003 with Live at The Saloon, a double CD recorded at San Francisco’s oldest bar and mecca for the blues faithful. Both CDs highlight the talents of Daniel’s playing, songwriting, and arranging and feature stellar performances by some of the Bay Area’s best sidemen.

The Motor City born and raised Kevin Russell has a very unique blend of rock and soul. Kevin says:”It’s a Motor City thing!” Kevin is a contemporary artist known in hip musical circles and by fans worldwide. He is a provocative player and his daring spirit is always apparent. Moving to Hollywood to follow his dream, Kevin formed the now classic rock band 707. Scoring a couple of rock radio classics such as “I Could Be Good For You” and “Megaforce”, 707 toured playing arenas throughout the 80’s. Later in the 80’s Kevin joined forces with Billy Kreutzman and Brent Midland (Grateful Dead) to form Kokomo. They played sold out show after sold out show all around the U.S. Next Kevin got together with Stray Cats members Slim Jim Phantom & Lee Rocker .The band scored an MTV & rock radio favorite “Men Without Shame”. Kevin and Clarence Clemons “The Big Man” became good pals in the Bay Area. They put a touring band named The Red Bank Rockers together and hit the road, playing to sold out crowds across the U.S. Their shows would often feature special guests such as Joe Walsh, Ringo, Bruce “The Boss”, Jackson Brown, Jon Bon Jovi, Ritchie Sambora. etc. Kevin also put together “The Keep” with Kiss drummer and longtime pal Peter Criss. During this period Kevin was also getting calls to play on other artists records, as well as films and TV such as; Whitesnake, Clarence Clemons, Sea Hags, F. Machine, Levi’s 501 Blues, Murder In Greenwich, Fall Into Darkness, Weird Science, No Small Affair, Nightmare on Elm St. Pt III and IV and much more…..
