Amber is fortunate to be one of the most sought after vocal coaches in the Bay Area. She has been coaching vocalists for the past 13+ years, her approach to developing the voice offers a new approach, and a healthful perspective. Amber’s mission is to empower her clients with tools that will allow them to take their vocal skills to an entirely new level. Through her own bout with an illness, acid reflux, Amber’s loss of vocal range set her on her lifepath. Through determination and labor of love, Amber was not only able to rehabilitate herself, but she takes this knowledge into her own technique training, offering singers a compassionate and judgement free environment to work through vocal issues and discover their potential.

Amber’s appreciation of music inspired her to pursue a career in both the artistic and technical side of singing. She has been performing as a lead and background vocalist for over 35 years, and has had a well-established voice studio for the past 14 years in San Rafael, CA. Growing up in the Bay Area during its greatest musical explosion worked in Amber’s favor as she was influenced by so many local bands and witnessed their ascent up the charts. The influence of Funk and Soul sounds coming from the East Bay and the Rock sound coming from the SF/North Bay stylistically wedged her between a rock and a soul! At age 16 she got her start singing bv’s for reggae band Smoke, Inc., was a founding member of Atlantic Recording artists, Psychefunkapus, and pressed on with original bands playing the San Francisco live music circuit and paying dues.

She has performed on CD, TV and/or DVD releases for such luminaries as Huey Lewis & the News/Soulsville, Tommy Castro/Hard Believer, Ted Nugent, AXS TVs Concert Ronnie Montrose Tribute Band DVD with Eric Martin, Sesame Street, King of The Hill. Live show support includes Eric Martin Band (Mr. Big), Y&T, Dave Jenkins & Cory Lerios of Pablo Cruise, Sammy Hagar, Lara Johnston Band featuring Tom Johnston and members of the Doobie Bros., Shaka Ra & the World Pop Machine with Zairian superstar Shaka Ra Mutela and more. Presently Amber can be seen singing with SoulJah Family Band and Eric Martin Band, Amber is vocal coach/producer for SanRe Entertainment.

Amber and guitarist husband Tal “TMo” Morris are the proprietors of Ice House Studios in San Rafael, the location of Amber Morris Voice Coaching, a destination for singing talent in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her roster of up and coming young adult/teen students have played arenas such as Japan’s famed Budokan, been in major feature films, appeared on national television series such as E! True Hollywood Story, The Voice, American Idol, The Sing Off, MTV’s Rock The Cradle and America’s Got Talent. Amber’s Client List Includes: Arnel Pineda -Journey (Eclipse album and tour support), Grammy and BMI Award Winning Songwriter Jonathan Cain – Journey, Grammy Nominated Singer-Songwriter Bonnie Hayes, BB King Entertainer of the Year and WC Handy Blues Award Winner Tommy Castro – Hard Believer Album title track #2 billboard blues, 222 Records Artist Rozzi Crane, Madison Cain, Lara Johnston, Kenton Chen (The Backbeats) and numerous members of San Rafael’s own Award Winning Acapella Group, ‘Til Dawn, as private voice coach.
